hello beloved ones–

as i am sitting on our futon listening to phil wickham’s divine romance and having sarah at her desk working physics problems, i figured i’d jot down a few highlights from my life. you know things like where i’ve been, what i’m doing, and some things i’m looking forward to.

you know, the usual

1. my life is insane. mainly due to everything kind of snow ballin, in the academic world, right before easter break and the musical/orchestra rehearsals plus r.a.-ing and just the craziness of my individual life. its a mess but i love it and somehow i made it through last week without forgetting to turn in any assignments or failing my doctrine test….well, i find that out tomorrow but lets hope for the  best, right? Yesterday marked the first day that I had ever run more than an hour and twenty minutes…I ran for about 1hr and 36 minutes and completed around 9.5 miles…give or take

The first 30minutes took a while but once I got going it seemed to fly by after that. I love running through downtown Chattanooga and I also ran in an area I had never been before–suburban area of Northshore. The homes were huge and amazing and they have some hills over there that will keep you pretty busy, for sure.

All in all, it was a good run but it sucked the life right out of me. I was so so tired the rest of the evening and passed out on my bed around midnight after hanging out with some good friends.

Anyways, A few girls and I are headed down to Atlanta, Ga to go to Louie Giglio’s new church tonight. Should be a sweet time

Church hopping isn’t my thing but you wouldn’t think that if you saw how many of the churches I’ve been to while at Covenant. It’s ridiculous, yes, I know. However, it has served a purpose and it has allowed me to figure out what I want/need in a church body.

With that being said, I was raised in a very traditional PCA church and as I have gotten older I have found myself shying away from the traditional type of worship to a more contemporary type. Neither one is ‘better’ in a sense of being more ‘worshipful’ but it is clearly a matter of what I would prefer. (continue reading…)

friends! mom and dad!

I know, I know. I have been terribly at keeping up with the blog this past semester (maybe this whole year?)…it has been crazy!

I’m about to go sit at the “in Duty” desk in my building, Andreas Hall, for a few hours and catch up on some homework, figure out what I need to talk about in my hall meeting tonight, and bake a cake for the meeting

Mom, Amanda, and Lorraine visited this past weekend and it was so great! So fun to end my spring break with them and to hang out with no pressure of school since I was able to finish/catch up over Spring Break.

Which reminds me, Spring Break was amazing! I was “in duty” with a few other R.A’s and it was great to just hang out with them, lay out, run a lot, cook some amazing food, and get caught up on some homework. So, soo good!

This weekend is pretty busy with an Educational Event I am doing with Lindsey’s hall, 3rd South, and going to Louie Giglio’s church on sunday night. Should be fun!

I’m hoping to re-vamp the site this summer when I can get someone to help me with it…any takers?

friends!  or maybe its just my family that is reading this now…

Life has been crazy, to say the least. From hall stuff, to winning the intramural basketball championship, and studying and taking midterms life has been going at a whirlwind pace. Its been slowing down, though, over break. Stacey and I are on duty for spring break and we have had a great time with some of the other r.a.’s on duty! We’ve been so productive and have had such a relaxing time. I’ll post some pictures/video’s up later of the adventures that we have encountered…today’s was learning how to play tennis. I like it a lot

I’m hoping to write and get a lot of hmwk stuff done the next  few days since the weather won’t be as lovely as it is now…gotta get it all done before mom, amanda, and lorraine come up to visit for the weekend…
